Flacco named starter for rest of season

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - "Yes," was Kevin Stefanski's one word answer to a question that everybody felt like they already knew the answer to. Yes, Joe Flacco will be the Browns quarterback the rest of the season.

Flacco passed for 311 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Browns past the Jaguars on Sunday.

Stefanski kept his QB decision on Sunday close to the vest, saying it would be a game time decision. It was a decision that surprised nobody, everyone expected the veteran to be named the starter over Dorian Thompson-Robinson.

The Browns improved to 8-5 on the season and their playoff hopes are alive and very well despite playing musical chairs at quarterback thanks to injuries and ineffectiveness.

They hope Flacco puts an end to questions under center.
