Four car crash closes A338 near East Hanney on Christmas day

Emergency services are on the scene after 999 reports of a collision just after 11am near East Hanney[1]. The A338 is closed in both directions from A415 Frilford Road, Frilford, to Alfred’s Place, East Hanney. Local reports suggest four cars involved with numerous members of the emergency services, with at least one person taken to hospital in the ‘head-on crash’.

Thames Valley Police for South Oxon posted a message on X – previously known as Twitter – to avoid the area. There is slow traffic[3] in the area due to the crash, according to traffic reports. It is not clear when the accident will be cleared.

The authorities have not yet confirmed if anyone was injured.

Officers said: “Anyone with information or footage should call 101 or make a report online, quoting reference 450 of 25 Dec.”
