Part of Bath Road was cordoned off by police after witnesses described a two-vehicle crash involving a black Kia and a van belonging to energy company Mitie.

Firefighters attended the scene and confirmed one casualty had to be rescued from their vehicle. It caused long delays, as traffic queued along Victoria Road and Bath Road before being diverted down Eastcott Road.
