A YOUNG man who lost his life in a Christmas car crash in Co Donegal on Monday will be laid to rest on Friday, his family have confirmed. Talented musician Paul Mooney was killed when the car he was a passenger in was involved in a two-car collision[1] on the main Letterkenny to Lifford Road.

The well-known son of local Ramelton couple Gwen and Morgan Mooney was aged in his 30s and has two sisters. He was a member of the popular band Boy M5 and was known for his gigs as a solo artist in bars under the name Mooney.

Paul, who is the tenth person to be killed on the roads of Donegal[2] this year, is reposing at his home with a wake today and tomorrow from 11am until 10pm. Those attending the wake between the hours of 6pm and 9pm should park at St Mary’s Church, Ramelton and a bus will be provided from there.
