Gaynor Lord: CCTV shows missing Norwich mother’s last known movements
Police searching for a missing mother-of-three have released CCTV of her last known movements – after her coat was found in a river.
Gaynor Lord, 55, disappeared on Friday after finishing work in Norwich city centre. CCTV shows her leaving her job at Jarrolds department store at 2.45pm – an hour and 15 minutes earlier than scheduled – and walking towards the cathedral. It comes as Norwich policing commander Wes Hornigold told LBC news that his force is “linking in” with Lancashire Constabulary to understand lessons learned from the Nicola Bulley inquiry.
Lancashire police have told Sky News they are not aware that they are giving formal assistance. Ms Lord’s possessions were found in nearby Wensum Park by a member of the public, who informed police at around 8pm, with officers finding ID in Mrs Lord’s handbag. Her clothing – including a white shirt, yellow tank top, two rings and her phone and glasses – were found in the park in various locations, police said.
Her olive-coloured coat was discovered in the river. Officers believe she “may have entered the water” – with specialist underwater search teams from Lincolnshire Police arriving on Wednesday to help. The park has been closed since Saturday.
Supt Hornigold said police are especially keen to hear from anyone who saw Mrs Lord between 2.50pm and 3.23pm – as “it’s not clear where she goes inside the cathedral grounds during this time”. Mrs Lord is married and described as 5ft 6 inches tall, with blonde shoulder-length hair in a bob. Police timeline
