Girl taken to hospital after collision with car at St Helens Linkway

The incident took place this morning, Tuesday, December 19, shortly before 8am at the junction of St Helens Linkway and Chapel Lane, in Rainhill. The girl suffered a cut to the head and was taken to hospital, police said. The driver of the Volvo stopped at the scene and inquiries are ongoing, a police spokeswoman added.

“The driver of the car stopped at the scene and inquiries remain ongoing.

“The road reopened at 10.55am.”
