Gridlock after car crash blocks main road near pub in Nuneaton
Gridlock has been caused in Nuneaton after a two-car crash blocked a main road near pub. It has caused issues along Heath End Road, Greenmoor Road and also on Croft Road. A police car remained stationed close to the Horseshoes pub as of 5pm today, Wednesday, December 20, near to where the black Volvo and a grey Peugeot 208 came into collision. Warwickshire[1] Police has told CoventryLive that Greenmoor Road was initially blocked following the collision, which took place at just after 4pm.
But rush-hour congestion in the area led to nearby Heath End Road and Greenmoor Road also being impacted. CoventryLive has contacted West Midlands Ambulance Service about the collision. At the time of publication, the road was no longer blocked but there was congestion in the area.
There have been reports of heavy traffic across the whole town during rush-hour this evening. There have been unconfirmed reports of another incident in the Crow Hill area of town. We have asked emergency services about this.
