Grinning rapist on run from police could be in Merseyside

A registered sex offender with links to Southport and Liverpool is on the run. Martin Travis is wanted by Lancashire Police for failing to appear at court and for a breach of a court order. In a post on X (formerly Twitter[1]) Lancashire Police issued an appeal for anyone with information about Travis to come forward.

Travis, who is also known to have links to Wigan and Blackpool, is a convicted rapist and was sentenced to six years in prison in 2014. In 2017, just one month after being released on licence Travis was wanted by police again after breaking his licensing conditions[2].

Travis is described as white, 5ft 9in tall, of thin build with dark brown hair and brown eyes.

Lancashire Police are asking for anyone with information to call 101 or email [email protected]. For the latest news and breaking news visit http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/news/[5]. Get all the big headlines, pictures, analysis, opinion and video on the stories that matter to you.
