Gritters called in after three Bradford crashes on same road

Three separate car crashes occurred on a major Bradford A-road today (Friday, December 8). The incidents occurred on Wakefield Road, the most recent occurring at 12.34pm. No injuries were reported in any of the incidents.

Council gritters have been requested by police and have attended the road. Traffic has been diverted with motorists urged to avoid the area. A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Police were called to Wakefield Road, near Croft Street, Bradford at about 12.34pm following a report of a road traffic collision involving two vehicles.

“Officers attended the road on which two other collisions involving other vehicles had also taken place. No injuries were reported in the incidents and council gritters have been requested and are attending. Traffic has been diverted and drivers are advised to avoid the area.”
