Herefordshire drivers fined for breaking speed limits
Wayne Keith Bell entered a guilty plea to one count of speeding to magistrates in Worcester. The court heard that the 54-year-old had been caught breaking the limit while behind the wheel of a Volkswagen in a 50 miles per hour zone on the A40 at Pencraig on May 8. Bell, of Maple Road, Halesowen, was fined GBP369 and received six penalty points.
He was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of GBP90 and a GBP147 victim surcharge. ALSO READ: Grant Jones was proven guilty of one count of speeding by magistrates in Cheltenham.
The court heard that the 29-year-old Vauxhall Vivaro driver had been caught speeding in a 60 miles per hour zone on the A417 near South Cerney in Gloucestershire on July 13. Jones, of Honeysuckle Close, Ross-on-Wye, was fined GBP220 and received three penalty points. He was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of GBP88 and a GBP90 victim surcharge.
Philip Auckland entered a guilty plea to one count of speeding to magistrates in Worcester. The court heard that the 33-year-old had been caught breaking the limit while behind the wheel of a Kia in a 50 miles per hour zone on the A40 at Pencraig on May 14. Auckland, of Porchester Close, Binley, Coventry, was fined GBP253 and received three penalty points.
He must also pay prosecution costs of GBP90 and a GBP101 victim surcharge.
