Horror crash on Christmas Day as driver falls asleep while driving on motorway
Police have shared a warning after a horror crash on the motorway on Christmas[1] Day morning after the driver fell asleep at the wheel. Officers across the border in England said the incident took place at 6am on December 25 after the motorist returned home from a 12-hour shift. The incident happened on the M60 near junction 23.
Thankfully the driver was not seriously injured but is likely to remain in hospital on Christmas according to North West Motorway Police.
The force said: "This is the aftermath of an RTC at 6AM this morning on the M60 near junction 23, dvr just finished a 12 hour shift and fell asleep at the wheel, thankfully not serious injuries but likely to remain in hospital today, Please take a break if feeling tired."
