Hundreds of children receive advent calendars following festive donation

Children received advent calendars (Image: Fighting Hunger with Food Waste) A CHARITABLE organisation has handed out advent calendars to 300 children across Wiltshire after receiving funding from a local housebuilder. Fighting Hunger with Food Waste collects goods from local supermarkets that can no longer be sold and then distributes items to individuals, families, foodbanks, schools and any other organisation that could benefit.

The charity was awarded GBP600 by Barratt David Wilson Homes South West enabling them to give children a chocolatey treat this Christmas.
