Hythe stolen van dumped opposite school after crash
The stolen Ford Transit was found on Long Lane in Holbury at 2.30pm on Sunday. It was taken from Elm Crescent in Hythe either that day or the previous day. Although it remains unclear when exactly it was stolen, police believe it was involved in a crash on Long Lane, at the bus stop opposite The New Forest Academy, at some point between midday and 2.30pm.
Police are now appealing for witnesses to come forward. A spokesperson for Hampshire police said: “Did you see anything? “Did you spot the driver, or any other occupants of the van, and could you provide a description of them, or their last direction of travel?
“Can you remember when you first spotted the van being driven along, or parked up on Long Lane? “Do you have any footage of the van being driven, or of the road traffic incident itself, including dashcam, doorbell camera, mobile phone, or any CCTV? “If you do have any information or footage that you can share with us, please get in touch and quote incident number 44230504933.
