Land Rover driver killed in crash on A6076 Causey Road near Stanley
Emergency services were called to reports of a collision on the A6076 Causey Road at around 9.40am yesterday morning (Friday, December 15). The incident involved a Scania HGV, BMW and Land Rover. Paul Pendleton, 60, the driver of the Land Rover, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Nobody else was injured. The road remained closed for several hours while initial inquiries were carried out, and has now been reopened. Anybody with any information or dashcam footage relating to the incident is asked to contact Durham Police on 101, quoting incident number 91 of December 15.
