Diversions are in place following the fuel spillage from the crash which is affecting traffic on the M6[9] and M65. Congestion was building back to the Broughton Interchange on the M6 but as of Tuesday afternoon it’s the section from the Tickled Trout junction at Samlesbury southbound which is mainly affected. The diversion is:

  • From J9 of the M61 take the M65 eastbound
  • Bear left and exit at J1 of the M65
  • Re-join the M6 southbound

Drivers are being urged to avoid the area and are advised to make alternative travel arrangements. Subscribe: You can now opt-in to receive Blog Preston news updates through Whatsapp[11]. Please enable JavaScript to view the comments powered by Disqus.[13]
