Large police presence outside Steelyard Commons Walmart

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - An off-duty Cuyahoga County Sheriff's Deputy was involved in a use of deadly force incident Saturday evening after shooting at a car in Cleveland.

19 News crews on scene said they saw at least one shell casing on the ground outside the Walmart on the 3400 block of Steelyard Drive at approximately 10 p.m.

Cuyahoga County spokeswoman Jennifer Ciaccia confirmed the off-duty deputy, who was working a secondary employment, shot at a car as it was driving off.

There are no confirmed injuries resulting from this shooting.

Ciaccia says the Cleveland Division of Police is handling the investigation.
