The scene on Manchester Road (Image: UGC) POLICE have given an update after a woman died in a crash on a major Bradford[1] road. Emergency services rushed to Manchester Road following reports of a road traffic collision just before 9pm on Tuesday.

It happened near the road’s junction with Ripley Street. Shortly before the crash, two cars – an Audi A3 and a VW Golf – were travelling away from the city centre alongside each other, West Yorkshire[2] Police said. The pedestrian, a woman in her 40s, was crossing the road at a pelican crossing when she was in collision with one of the vehicles, the force added.

One of the vehicles then collided with railings. Emergency services attended the scene but the woman was sadly confirmed to have died. Two people were arrested in connection with the incident.

Today, a spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: “Two men arrested have been bailed pending further enquiries.”
