Lily man dies after Pulaski County wreck
Dec.
27–A accident last week on Ky.
914 in Pulaski County has claimed the life of a Lily man, according to the Ferguson Police Department. Ronnie Lee Taylor, 67, was pronounced dead at around 6 p.m. Friday at the UK Medical Center in Lexington, a little more than two days after the accident.
The crash took place around 5:01 p.m. last Wednesday, just east of the 11-mile marker on Ky.
914, Ferguson Police Chief David Cornett said. Cornett reported that Taylor was driving a 2001 white Dodge Ram pickup eastbound, towing a 1999 maroon Dodge pickup with a towbar. It appeared that Taylor lost control of his vehicle, crossed the median and crossed both westbound lanes before leaving the roadway and striking a rock embankment.
Taylor was the only occupant in the vehicle, and the only vehicles involved were the two Dodge pickups, Cornett said. Taylor may have had a medical emergency before the accident took place, Cornett said. Taylor was transported to the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital before he was flown to the UK Medical Center for further treatment.
Assisting at the scene were the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office, Ferguson Fire Department and Somerset-Pulaski County EMS.
