Lincoln Castle and crown court evacuated
Lincoln Castle and the city’s crown court have been closed and evacuated after what police said was a “threat to public safety”.
The court building, which is within the castle grounds, was evacuated shortly after 11:30 GMT on Friday.
Police are at the scene and members of the public are currently unable to access any part of the castle grounds.
In a statement, Lincolnshire Police said they had received “a call from a member of the public reporting a threat to public safety in the area”.
