Live: M5 chaos near Bristol after crash shuts lane

Drivers travelling on the M5 near Bristol are facing delays tonight (December 13) due to a crash. One lane on the southbound side of the motorway is currently shut due to the collision at junction 18. Traffic monitoring service Inrix reports: “One lane closed due to accident on M5 Southbound at J18 M49.” Pictures from the scene show traffic queues in the area.
