Live Newmarket traffic updates tonight as ‘serious’ crash leaves road closed

A road is closed tonight (Tuesday, December 19) following a serious crash in Newmarket. Moulton Road is shut to traffic following the incident across the border in Suffolk. Police, paramedics and firefighters are at the scene of the crash, which police say involves one car.

The closure has been in place since around 7.30pm and drivers are being urged to avoid the area. A Suffolk Police spokesperson said: “Emergency services are in attendance at the scene of a serious road traffic collision in Newmarket. Police received a report of a collision involving a single vehicle, a car, at 7.30pm this evening (Tues 19 December) on the B1506 Moulton Road, Newmarket.

“Fire and ambulance are in attendance as well as police as they conduct initial investigations. It is likely the road will be closed for the foreseeable future this evening and drivers are advised to find alternative routes.” CambridgeshireLive[1] will bring you further updates as they become available.
