Live updates as incident on main road in Leicestershire village attended by emergency services
Police are urging drivers to avoid a road through a Leicestershire village as a result of an “incident”.[1] The incident happened on Main Road, Kirby Bellars, near Melton, and traffic in the area is heavily congested as a result. Police are advising that drivers avoid the road and consider alternative routes. The village is located to the south-west of Melton and Main Road makes up part of the A607 Leicester Road.
Leicestershire Police provided an update on X, formerly twitter. It said: “Please avoid the Main Road , Kirby Bellars due to an incident being attended by emergency services. Traffic in the area is heavily congested so please consider alternative routes.
