Live updates as M4 blocked at Prince of Wales Bridge by multi-vehicle crash
Traffic has been brought to a standstill on the M4 eastbound’s Prince of Wales Bridge following a multi-vehicle accident, including one reportedly overturned car. According to traffic monitoring service, traffic is currently stationary due to a multi-vehicle accident and debris on the road from J23 M48 to J22 M49. A witness in the held traffic says they have seen seven ambulances.
Traffic has been held since 12.10pm. The M48 Severn Bridge has also been closed in both directions due to strong winds between J2 A466 Wye Valley Link Road in Chepstow and J1 A403 Aust in Monmouthshire. The planned diversion had been the M4’s Prince of Wales Bridge.
