Live updates as motorists face 35-minute M4 delays and crash partially blocks A470

There are 40-minute delays on the M4 on Friday afternoon. No accidents or incidents have been reported but westbound traffic is particularly congested. Traffic monitors are showing heavy traffic on the motorway from the Brynglas Tunnels westbound around junction 26 Malpas Road.

An accident has partially blocked part of the A470 at Merthyr Tydfil. It has happened at the Cefn-coed-y-Cymmer turn off and is affecting traffic between Merthyr and Brecon. There is also slow traffic on the A472 at Ystrad Mynach, Caerphilly, after an earlier accident between the Ystrad Mynach and Crown roundabouts.

All lanes have re-opened here but there are still delays.
