Live updates: M5 crash on Avonmouth Bridge sparks rush hour delays
Traffic is building on the M5 near Avonmouth this evening (December 5) following a crash. There are delays heading southbound out of Bristol at rush hour due to a single vehicle collision. The crash was first reported at around 5.43pm on Tuesday evening, and is said to have happened on Avonmouth Bridge[1], heading soutbound from J18 M49 to J19 A369 Martcombe Road (Portishead).
Traffic cameras are showing queues building as commuters try to get home. An update from traffic monitoring service Inrix reads: “Delays and one lane closed due to accident, one vehicle involved on M5 Avonmouth Bridge Southbound from J18 M49 to J19 A369 Martcombe Road (Portishead). Lane one (of four) is closed.”
