Lorry crash causes traffic chaos on A-road and leaves ‘fuel spillage’
Pictures from the scene (Image: Public) A delivery lorry and an SUV were involved in a crash on an Oxfordshire A-road this morning (Sunday, December 10). Pictures from the incident on the A420 between Faringdon and Watchfield show a Hermes lorry with heavy damage to its front.
They also show an SUV stranded on a grass verge. * Follow live updates on this crash here[1] * The vehicle appears to be a Kia Sportage from eyewitness pictures and Thames Valley Police has been contacted for confirmation on this.
There was a fuel spillage on the road as a result of the crash which emergency services are cleaning up.
Oxford Mail: At least two police cars and an ambulance were at the scene of the crash, which was first reported on AA Traffic at around 10.50am. The incident has caused heavy delays on the A-road with pictures showing a large queue of cars.
Thames Valley Police and South Central Ambulance Service have been contacted for comment.
