M1 crash caused congestion from junction 27 to junction 28
A crash caused congestion on the southbound carriageway on the M1. Traffic was held at around 7.30am on Monday, December 18, following the collision. The crash was reported on the motorway near junction 27 for the A608 Mansfield Road (Hucknall / Underwood).
The vehicles were moved from lane three and four (of four) onto the hard shoulder. There was congestion to back to junction 28 for Alfreton, according to traffic monitoring service Inrix. In a 8.13am update, Inrix said: “Accident, now on the hard shoulder on M1 Southbound at J27 A608 Mansfield Road ( Hucknall / Underwood).
Congestion to J28 (Alfreton).
Traffic was held whilst the vehicles were moved from lane three and four (of four) onto the hard shoulder.”
