M1 J27 crash live updates as two lanes are closed after collision

Slow traffic is forming on the M1 following an accident this morning (December 21). The collision took place on the M1 northbound, with the road closed from Junction 27 A608 Mansfield Road to Junction 28 A38. Two lanes are currently closed out of four.

A statement on traffic aggregator website Inrix reads: “Slow traffic and two lanes closed due to accident on M1 Northbound from J27 A608 Mansfield Road (Hucknall/Underwood) to J28 A38 (Alfreton/Mansfield).

“Lanes three and four (of four) are closed.”
