M23, A23 and A27 road closures to look out for in Sussex this weekend
There will be a number of closures on Sussex’s main roads over the weekend (Image: PA) A small number of motorway and A Road closures will affect Sussex traffic this weekend, according to National[1] Highways England. These will mainly be on the A27 in the early hours of the morning for maintenance work.
If you are set to be travelling along these areas, it’s best to take note of different diversions that may be in place. Here’s a list of all of the closures from Friday, December 8 to Sunday, December 10 on Sussex’s main roads to be aware of.

M23, A23 and A27 road closures for Friday, December 8
M23
On the M23[2] northbound way, the Junction 8 to the M25 clockwise Junction 7 link road will be closed for CAT 1 safety fence repair from 11pm to 5am.
Additionally, there will be a carriageway closure between M23 southbound Junction 11 A23 Warninglid Junction for survey works between 11pm and 5am.

On the A23 northbound way, there will be a carriageway between Handcross and Bolney for resurfacing work from 8pm to 6am.
A27
On the westbound and eastbound way on the A27[3], there will be a carriageway closure from Busticle Lane and Grove Lodge roundabout for traffic signals works from 8pm to 6am.
Meanwhile, on the westbound way, there will be a carriageway closure from Fontwell to Temple Bar Interchange for resurfacing works from 8pm to 6am.
