M5, traffic and weather warning live as Met Office forecasts non-stop deluge

It's going to rain and then rain and then there will be more rain on a very soggy Monday in Gloucestershire. The Met Office has issued a severe weather[1] warning for the county until 6pm today (December 4). It covers a huge chunk of the West Country and follows some freezing temperatures in the region.

A large stretch of the M5 runs through the warning zone, which was activated at midnight. The Met Office[2] forecast for Gloucestershire has heavy rain throughout the day and continuing well into Tuesday morning. A number of flood alerts, which means flooding is possible, be prepared, are in place from the Environment Agency.
