M62 crash: Motorway fully reopen after police work

As the Telegraph & Argus previously reported[1], emergency services were called to a three-vehicle collision on the eastbound stretch of the M62, close to junction 23, at 8.55pm on Friday. A person was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. Another person was also injured.

At around 7pm on Saturday, the M62 in West Yorkshire[2] was closed eastbound between junction 22, for Ripponden, and junction 24, near Huddersfield, for police investigations into the crash.

The motorway was fully reopened by around 10pm after the investigations were completed.

National Highways thanked people for their “patience”.
