Main Nuneaton road cordoned off by police after man hit by car in serious crash

Police cordoned off a main road in Nuneaton following a serious collision. Arbury Road, from just before its junction with Heath End Road up to its junction with Westbury Road, was blocked for more than a hour last night (December 12). Emergency services were called following reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian at just before 9pm.

Police blocked off the road so that medics from West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS)[1] could tend to the man. A WMAS spokesperson explained that an ambulance, a paramedic officer and the Warwickshire[2] and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance Critical Car attended the scene. “On arrival we discovered one patient, a man, who was the pedestrian.,” the spokesperson said. “He was treated for potentially serious injuries before being taken to University Hospital Coventry[4] and Warwickshire.”

CoventryLive has contacted Warwickshire Police[5] in regards to the incident.
