Major update in Krispy Kreme van theft

A woman has been charged over the alleged theft of a Krispy Kreme truck, with 10,000 donuts inside, in Sydney’s northwest. Police were called to a 7/11 petrol station on Pennant Hills Road in Carlingford about 3.30am following reports a truck had been stolen on November 29. Officers were told an unknown woman allegedly stole a truck filled with donuts before driving away.

Police established a crime scene and launched an investigation into the incident.

The donuts were “destroyed”, a NSW police spokesman said. About 11am Thursday, officers arrested a 28-year-old woman at St Marys Railway Station in the city’s west. She was taken to Penrith Police Station where she was charged with taking and driving conveyance without the consent of the owner, driving a motor vehicle during a disqualification period and travelling or attempting to travel without a valid ticket.

The woman was refused bail to appear before Penrith Local Court on Thursday.
