Man, 62, killed in crash

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ala. (WBRC) - A 62-year-olld man was killed Thursday evening in a single-vehicle crash in Birmingham.

The Jefferson County Coroner had identified the victim as Daryl L. Polk of Birmingham. The crash happened in the 3300 block of Erwin Dairy Road just before 7 p.m.

Polk was taken to UAB Hospital where he died.

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office is investigating the cause and circumstances of the wreck.
