Man critically injured in OHRV rollover in Salisbury
SALISBURY -- A 24-year-old man was left in critical condition after losing control of an off-highway recreational vehicle (OHRV) and rolling it over near his home on West Salisbury Road early Sunday morning. Brian Nylen of Salisbury was operating the side-by-side vehicle just before 2 a.m. when he veered off the road, causing the vehicle to roll over in front of his residence. Nylen, the sole occupant of the OHRV, was found by a friend pinned underneath the wheel after the crash.
The road where the incident occurred is not designated for OHRV use. Emergency services, including Salisbury Fire Department, Penacook Rescue, NH State Police Troopers, and a Conservation Officer, promptly responded to the 911 call. Nylen was transported to Concord Hospital with life-threatening injuries and is currently listed in critical condition.
Investigators noted that Nylen was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
The NH Fish and Game Department continues to investigate the cause of the crash and urges anyone with information to contact their offices at 603-271-3361.
