Man guilty of city centre sex assault on lone woman
Shko Khdri approached his victim after she left a nightclub A man who carried out a “violent” sex attack on a woman after she left a nightclub in Hull has pleaded guilty. Shko Khdri, 28, of Walliker Street, Hull, pushed the woman to the ground and attacked her on Carr Lane at about 03:00 BST on 19 September.
He admitted two counts of sexual assault and one of assault by penetration at Hull Crown Court. Khdri is due to be sentenced at the same court on 19 January. Humberside Police said Khdri approached the woman as she walked alone after a night out.
He smacked her on the bottom and after she tried to escape he then pushed her to the ground and sexually assaulted her. The victim managed to break away from Khdri and was helped to safety by a member of the public, police said. In the days following the attack, officers said they found CCTV which captured the assault and a clear image of the defendant.
Khdri was arrested at his workplace three days after the attack following a public appeal. Det Sgt Bethany Sergeant said: “Khdri is a sexual predator and I’m pleased he has admitted to what he did. “He subjected a woman to what I can only describe as a violent and unforgivable attack which has left a woman in fear of her own safety.”
