Man on police bail after ‘sexual chat with girl he believed was 13’
McDonalds, Alder Road (Image: Daily Echo) A MAN remains released on police bail after he was ‘involved in sexual chat’ with someone he believed was a teenage girl. Police arrested the man in his 60s on August 19 on suspicion of sexual communication with a child while he was outside McDonald’s in Alder Road, Poole[1].
The man was said to be involved in sexual communication with a person he believed to be a 13-year-old girl, police said. A search by officers revealed he was suspected of carrying a bladed article and arrested on suspicion of possessing a bladed article. Providing an update, a spokeswoman for Dorset Police said: “The arrested man remains on police bail while enquiries continue.”
An initial statement from the police back in August said: “At around 2.45pm on Saturday 19 August 2023 Dorset Police received a report of a man who was involved in sexual communication with a person he believed to be a 13-year-old girl in the area of Alder Road in Poole.
“Officers attended and a man aged in his 60s was arrested on suspicion of sexual communication with a child.
Following a search, he was further arrested on suspicion of possessing a bladed article.”
