Massachusetts woman among 3 killed in wrong-way car crash in Maine
A Massachusetts woman and two people from Maine were identified as the victims killed in a two-car crash when a vehicle traveling the wrong way on the Maine Turnpike in Portland slammed into another car at a high rate of speed last week, officials said Tuesday.
On the night of Nov.
29, Julia Chapdelaine, 22, of Dudley Massachusetts, was in the passenger seat of a gray Honda Civic that was being driven on the wrong side of the road by Brandon Crawford-Adams, 23, of Old Orchard Beach, a statement from Maine State Police said Tuesday.
Alpha Anastacio, 33, of Portland, was driving a Toyota Rav4 when it was hit by the Honda Civic, police said.

All three people died in the crash in the area of Mile 45 in Portland. The Office of Chief Medical Examiner in Augusta officially identified the victims.
Before the crash, the Honda Civic was speeding south in the northbound lane when it hit a Ford pickup truck, authorities said. The driver of that vehicle survived.
The car continued driving the wrong way and hit the Toyota Rav4 head on, police said in a statement last week.
The crash is still under investigation, police said.
