Minute’s silence held for boy, 7, killed in crash
A minute’s silence has been held at a football match in memory of a boy who was killed in a suspected hit-and-run crash.
Seven-year-old William Brown was struck as he crossed the road near his home in Sandgate, Kent, on 6 December.
Following the crash, his mother, Laura Brown, told the BBC: “He was the sweetest boy in the world”.
On Tuesday evening, players and fans at Folkestone Invicta football club paid tribute to him ahead of a match against Hastings United.
