Police team checks Goole speeds

Meanwhile, a local policing team has been out and about checking speeds in the Goole area during the past week.

Officers visited locations including Swinefleet Road, Tom Pudding Way, Rawcliffe Road and Airmyn Road. “With the weather turning colder and the roads becoming more and more icy, road safety is a paramount concern for us all. Emergency services spend a lot of time at road traffic collisions, don’t let excessive speed be the cause of a collision,” Humberside Police said.

Neighbourhood teams also using “Prolaser 4” handheld devices to check speeds at the request of communities. Officers recently used the speed guns – which have been funded by Safer Roads Humber – in Ulceby and surrounding villages, on the south bank. Humberside Police, in partnership with Safer Roads Humber, will be at several other sites throughout the week that are not listed above.

Humberside Police reserves the right to enforce speed limits on any road, at any time.
