Mobile speed cameras in Hull and East Yorkshire Dec 17-24

Mobile speed cameras will be visiting two stretches of the busy A165 during the week before Christmas. Camera vans will be parked up on the stretch of road at Ganstead, just outside Hull, and a little further along the road at Skirlaugh. Enforcement officers are also due to check speeds on the B1240 Sproatley Road in Preston, as well as at spots on several other rural roads.

Drivers can see where the mobile cameras are likely to be situated through the daily enforcement schedule on the Safer Roads Humber website[1]. However, not all locations are listed on the schedule, so motorists should take care and exercise caution when driving in the region. Humberside Police, in partnership with Safer Roads Humber, will be at several other sites throughout the week that are not listed above.

Humberside Police reserves the right to enforce speed limits on any road, at any time.. Mobile speed cameras will be in the following locations in Hull and East Yorkshire areas:

  • SUN Dec 17: Sites around the region.
  • MON Dec 18: A165 at Skirlaugh
  • TUE Dec 19: B1228 Main Street, Sutton-on-Derwent
  • WED Dec 20: B1240 Sproatley Road, Preston
  • THU Dec 21: A165 Ganstead Lane, Hull
  • FRI Dec 22: B1253 at Sledmere; A614 Thorpe Road, Howden
  • SAT Dec 23: Sites around the region.
  • SUN Dec 24: Sites around the region.

For those crossing the Humber Bridge to the South Bank, mobile cameras will be in the following locations:

  • SUN Dec 17: Sites around the region.
  • MON Dec 18: Great Coates Road, Grimsby
  • TUE Dec 19: Ermine Street, Broughton
  • WED Dec 20: A1084 Bigby High Road, Brigg
  • THU Dec 21: Westgate Road, Belton
  • FRI Dec 22: (No site listed for northern Lincolnshire)
  • SAT Dec 23: Sites around the region.
  • SUN Dec 24: Sites around the region.
