Motorcyclist in 20s taken to hospital after crash with car in Rainhill

Emergency services descended on the scene on Saturday night, shortly after 9pm, after the collision on Warrington Road, in Rainhill, at the junction with Old Lane. A black motorbike and a black Ford car were involved in the crash. The motorcyclist suffered a leg injury and was taken to hospital, police said.

The driver of the Ford stopped at the scene and is helping police with inquiries, a spokesman said. READ > Police appeal after 'shocking' vandalism at retirement village[1] The Merseyside Police spokesman said: "We were called to Warrington Road, at its junction with Old Lane, at 9.15pm on Saturday, December 16, to a report of a collision involving a black Ford car and a black motorbike

"The motorbike rider, a man in his 20s, sustained a leg injury and was taken to hospital for treatment.

"The driver of the car was uninjured and is helping police with inquiries."
