Motorcyclist suffers life-changing injuries in crash with car in West Rainton
A motorcyclist suffered serious injuries following a crash in County Durham. The collision, involving a Ford Focus and a BMW Motorbike, took place on the A690 in West Rainton on Tuesday evening. Police say the motorcyclist had life-changing injuries and was taken to the Royal Victoria Infirmary[1] in Newcastle.
Officers are now appealing for information about the crash. Anyone who saw the collision or has dashcam footage is asked to contact police. A spokesperson for Durham Constabulary[2] said: “Police are appealing for information following a serious collision in West Rainton last night.
The two-vehicle collision happened on the A690 at around 5pm (December 19) and involved a Ford Focus and a BMW Motorbike. “The motorcyclist sustained life-changing injuries and was taken to the Royal Victoria Infirmary Hospital in Newcastle where he remains. Officers are now keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident.
