Multi-vehicle crash shuts down part of Interstate 80 in Seward County

12 hours ago LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A multi-vehicle crash shut down a part of Interstate 80 in Seward County early Friday morning. The crash happened on westbound I-80 near the Utica exit around 6 a.m., according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.

The Seward County Sheriff’s Office said the crash involved three semitrailer trucks and two passenger vehicles. There were no “major” injuries reported, according to the sheriff’s office. It’s unknown what caused the crash.

Around 1 p.m., Nebraska 511 reported that the road was reopened. The right lane is still closed. Crews are still on the scene cleaning up the debris.
