Adam Montgomery goes on trial in February on charges that he murdered his 5-year-old daughter[1] and he’s trying to prevent his six felony weapons convictions from being brought up as evidence in court. The 33-year-old New Hampshire man faces a second-degree murder charge in the 2019 death of his daughter Harmony, along with charges of abuse of a corpse, falsification of evidence, and witness tampering, the Union Leader reported.[2] Montgomery denies killing Harmony.

He said in court that he loved her unconditionally, just before being sentenced in August to 30 years[3] on the weapons charges. Montgomery’s public defenders filed a motion last week seeking to block evidence of “assaults or assaultive behavior” against Harmony, other than the conduct on or about Dec.

Kayla Montgomery told police her estranged husband repeatedly punched the girl in the face after she soiled the car the family had been living in.
