Nottinghamshire hit with snow flurries as weather warning extended
Nottinghamshire[1] has woken up to a blanket of snow after heavy flurries throughout the early hours of Sunday, December 3. A yellow weather warning[2] for snow and ice currently remains in place for the entire county until 12noon – with further snow forecast to fall during the day. The Met Office’s latest forecast predicts light snow at about 11am in Nottingham[3], with heavy rain expected from 2pm.
Temperatures will, once again, struggle to pass 0C, with highs of just 2C in the forecast. Nottingham City Transport reported all its services were suspended this morning, however many are now up and running. A spokesperson said: “All services are currently suspended due to poor road and weather conditions.
We will be assessing roads regularly and reinstate services as routes become useable.”
