Pedestrian dies after apparent east Raleigh hit-and-run on Saturday evening

A pedestrian died after an apparent hit-and-run in East Raleigh[1] on Saturday evening, according to police. The Raleigh Police Department identified the pedestrian as Donna Faye Norman, 53 and said the crash happened at 6:57 p.m. in the 2000 block of Poole Road near Russ Street. While crossing the road outside of a designated crosswalk, Norman was hit by a white, four-door pickup truck traveling southeast.

Police said the car continued straight on Poole Road after the collision.
