Pedestrian in hospital with serious injuries after Hardy Barn collision
A pedestrian is in hospital with serious injuries after a collision. Derbyshire police[1] were called to reports of a crash involving a blue Vauxhall Corsa and a pedestrian in Hardy Barn, near Heanor, at 7.25pm on Friday, December 22. The pedestrian, a woman in her 70s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries – where she remains. The driver of the Vauxhall who police say was heading from Ilkeston to Heanor, was arrested at the scene.
The driver, a man in his 20s, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving[2] and has been released on police bail. Officers investigating the incident are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident. The force would also like to speak to any drivers who were on the A6007 between Ilkeston and Heanor between 7.10pm and 7.30pm and have a dashcam that captured a blue Vauxhall Corsa.
