Pedestrian killed in Nottingham by car involved in police pursuit – road closed

Police have arrested a man following a collision involving a pedestrian. The incident happened on the A60 Huntingdon Street, Nottingham[1] city centre, shortly after 3 am today Tuesday 13 December 2023. The collision followed a police pursuit.

In line with standard procedure, Nottinghamshire Police has referred itself to the Independent Office for Police Conduct. The vehicle, which was being followed by police at the time, collided with the male pedestrian.

He was treated by paramedics, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. A man has been arrested in connection with the incident.

Drivers are advised to avoid the area if possible.
