Pedestrian ‘struck by bus’ on busy Glasgow road as emergency crew race to scene
A pedestrian was reportedly hit by a double-decker bus this afternoon on Glasgow’s[1] Victoria Road. Emergency services were on scene at around 2pm this afternoon, December 22 – with diversions in place. Two first response vehicles, one ambulance and at least two police cars were in attendance.

In images from the scene shared with Glasgow Live you can see traffic building up as officers control the area. A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Around 1.25pm on Friday, 22 December 2023, police were called to a report of a road crash involving a bus and pedestrian on Victoria Road near Dixon Ave, Govanhill, Glasgow. “The pedestrian has been taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital as a precaution.
“Enquiries into the incident are continuing. “The road is open but diversions are in place.” More to follow.
